Privacy

This is a plain-English description of how Stampede handles data during public beta. It reflects how the product actually works today. A full legal privacy policy will be published before general availability.

What we collect from businesses

When you create a Stampede account we store:

  • Your name, email address and password (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • The business details you choose to publish: name, tagline, description, logo, contact methods, links, opening hours and locations.
  • Anything you add yourself, such as updates, touchpoints and review replies.

Your published card is public by design. Anything you put on it can be seen by anyone with the link.

What we collect from visitors

When someone opens a Stampede card we record anonymous interaction events — for example a profile view, a call tap or a website tap — together with the touchpoint or location the visit started from, when that context is present in the link.

These events answer “where did this interaction start?” — not “who is this person?” We do not use device fingerprinting, IP-based identity, GPS, or cross-session identity inference. Anonymous visitors stay anonymous.

Connections and Stamps

A Stamp is only created by a deliberate action. An identified connection — where a business can see who connected — requires the visitor to be signed in and to explicitly confirm the connection. Simply viewing a card never creates a Stamp and never identifies you.

If you choose to receive updates from a business, you share the email address you entered with that business for that purpose, and every update includes a one-tap unsubscribe.

What businesses can see

Businesses see aggregate counts for anonymous activity, and identity details only for people who explicitly made an identified connection with them. One business can never see another business’s data.

Where your data lives

Stampede runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted at the database level so each account can only reach its own records. We use no advertising networks and we do not sell data.

Your choices

  • Edit or unpublish your card at any time from your dashboard.
  • Unsubscribe from any business update with the link in the message.
  • Ask us to export or delete your account data by emailing hello@stampedeconnect.com. Self-service account deletion is not available yet during beta.
